The Citizen Constitution Project

Empowering Citizens Through Constitutional Education

Understanding the Constitution is not a privilege of government — it is the right and responsibility of every citizen.

Our Mission

The Citizen Constitution Project educates, informs, and empowers citizens through accurate, accessible constitutional education, encouraging lawful, peaceful, and responsible civic participation.

A well-informed public is the strongest safeguard of liberty.

What We Do

The Citizen Constitution Project strengthens civic understanding by making constitutional knowledge clear, accessible, and grounded in historical and legal reality.

We focus on:

  • Clear, nonpartisan education on the U.S. Constitution
  • Plain-language explanations of complex civic processes
  • Education-first discussion of constitutional reform
  • Respectful, fact-based public discourse
  • Civic literacy that supports lawful participation in government

Education Before Reform

Lasting reform — regardless of ideology — must be grounded in constitutional understanding.

The Constitution provides lawful mechanisms for change, but those mechanisms require an informed public to function responsibly. This project exists to place education first, so citizens engage with clarity rather than fear, and knowledge rather than slogans.

Article V: A Lawful Path to Change

Article V of the United States Constitution establishes the formal process for constitutional amendment. It was designed to allow peaceful, lawful structural change without abandoning constitutional order.

Because of its importance and complexity, Article V must be widely understood before it is widely discussed.

Nonpartisan & Independent

Educational. Independent. Constitutionally grounded.
